Script for My Opening Scene

My opening scene contains a monologue from the film's central protagonist, Liz the receptionist. This is designed to create enigma and mystery for the audience but also to tease the audience about plot and some of the characters in the film.

Here is the script for my opening scene, some of which will be spoken by the actor on screen, but some of which will be a voiceover (which is a typical convention of the film noir genre):

It's the green mile for me.
They’ll be taking me down soon.
I confessed, to everything.
I’m proud of what I did to him.
He was a bully, a sexist power-hungry pig and I made him pay for what he did.
That motherfucker took my baby girl from me. She was my everything.
Smart, beautiful. Barely at the start of her life.
Time to start the walk. Don’t worry baby girl, we’ll be together again soon.
Before they come, let me tell you how it began. What I did.
I want you to know what men like him are capable of.
I want you to know how to stop them.
