Foundation Coursework - Creating a Film Opening Sequence - Brief

For this part of my coursework I'll be creating an opening scene for a film from a genre of my choice, which will include titles, production company logos and will clearly represent my chosen genre.

I'll start by researching the conventions of opening sequences, such as the way these scenes introduce characters and settings, but also the way they sometimes create enigma or mystery for the audience,

Once I have decided on which genre I want to do, I'll look at a number of opening scenes from that genre to see how genre conventions are used and whether the genre itself makes a difference to the structure of the opening scene, or what the opening scene focuses on.
